Effective on May 16th! Hapag-Lloyd launches peak season surcharge from Asia to Africa




German ocean shipping company Hapag-Lloyd has announced the imposition of peak season surcharges (PSS) on flights from Asia to destinations in Africa.

The following surcharges apply to all container types and will take effect from May 16 until further notice.

1. From Asia to Northwest Africa (Dakar-Senegal, Nouakchott-Mauritania, Banjul-Gambia, Conakry-Guinea, Freetown-Sierra Leone, Monrovia-Liberia)


USD 600 per TEU


2. From Asia to Mombasa, Kenya


USD 250 per TEU


3. From Asia to Dar es Salaam-Tanzania


USD 450 per TEU


4. From Asia to West Africa (Apapa and Tincan-Nigeria, Tema-Ghana, Cotonou-Benin, Abidjan and San Pedro-Côte d'Ivoire)


USD 500 per TEU


5. From Asia to Southwest Africa (Luanda & Lobito & Namibia & Kabina & Soyo-Angola, Pointe-Noire & Brazzaville-Congo, Matadi & Boma-Ghana, Libreville & Jean Port of Tire - Gabon, Kribi & Douala - Cameroon, Bata & Malabo - Guinea, Walvis Bay - Namibia)
